Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions!
1. What is the difference between the Game Division and the Nationals Division?
The main difference between the two divisions is that the Nationals division competes and the game division does not. The game division does more performances than Nationals does.
2. Do you have to be on both divisions?
No you do not. However, if you like to you are more than welcome to! All members will audition for either the Nationals Division, the Game Division or both.
3. What are practices like?
Practices start off with stretching for about twenty to thirty minutes. Then we work on technique for thirty minutes. The rest of the time will be used to teach/clean routines.
4. When are practices?
Practices are separated by division. During a normal week the Nationals division practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00-10:00pm and the Game division practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00-9:30pm in the DuFour Center dance studio. Technique only practices are held with both divisions and are Sundays from 5-9pm. Practice times and dates are subject to change due to coaches schedules. Additional practices may be added as needed to prepare for performances and competitions.
5. How often do you perform?
How often we perform during a semester varies by semester and also by schedule. During the fall, we usually perform at all home football games. During the spring semester, we'll perform at several basketball games, compete at two to three competitions including NDA College Nationals(Nationals Only), and at non-athletic campus events!
