1. What are tryouts like?
Tryouts happen twice a year through in person auditions in the fall and spring. Tryouts consist of technique evaluation and a short routine. Please wear form-fitting clothing with performance ready hair & makeup.
2. What does the team do?
The team performs at all home football games, men's basketball games, and select women's basketball games. The team also plays a vital role in promoting school spirit through appearances and performances at pep rallies, arts showcases, community events, and many more.
3. I don't have much dance experience. Can I still try out?
Yes! Our team consists of dancers from all backgrounds, from musical theater to gymnastics. Everyone is encouraged to come to tryouts. Try your best and have fun with it!
4. What is the commitment like?
A typical week consists of three 2-3 hour long practices. Performance days usually require about 4 hours, including preparation, warm-up, and the actual performance. In addition to practice, we require dancers to complete workouts on their own time. This all adds up to about a 12 hour commitment per week.
5. How can I prepare for tryouts?
Don't be afraid to contact us and get all your questions answered! Get a good night sleep the night before, drink lots of water, and try to stay relaxed. Be confident and have fun!
